Potential for Agriculture

One hundred years ago, Long Island was running sheep and exporting wool. Currently there is a well established working farm recently running 1000 weaners and could be a great area for farming deer. The island is free from feral animals and ticks and has adequate cover, plenty of fresh water and well grassed open areas.

The current pastoral lease for Long Island has been in continuous operation for over one hundred and forty years (since 1863).
